Shqipe Mula
Shqipe got her name from the synonym of eagle, which is where her passion for climbing the various mountains of Kosovo comes from. But not only that, she has a family tradition of the craftsmenship of Albanian traditional hat Plisi and this is how her passion for studying cultural heritage was born. Today she is also actively engaged in education of the new generations too. Shqipe, a certified tourist guide describes herself with these words: “I have a passion for working with people and I enjoy being a tourist guide as I get to show tourists what a wonderful country Kosovo is. Every day is a challenge, at the same time working with different people and situations, but it is exciting and rewarding. Even though I will take groups to the same places each day, for me people make the place and every day will be different. Being from a city of Gjakova, the city of traditions, history, music, art and a city with the longest Old Bazaar in Balkans, with the variety of crafts that are the city’s emblems which are preserved and built with love and dedication in order to transmit to new generations. It would make a great choice for you to visit and spend your time here. Being a tourist guide would give me a great pleasure to help others see and love my city in the way that I do.”
