On June 24, 2026, in a festive but also historical environment of the Hydroelectric Power Museum in Prizren, the certification ceremony of 12 tourist guides (11 national and 1 local) was held, who have followed a rigorous training program, the most advanced so far in our country. The training took place from March to June, where candidates for national guides went through a curriculum of 200 hours & those for local guides of 90 hours, where half of the hours were practical work and the rest were theoretical and included various topics of interest for tourist guiding.
The certificates were awarded by the Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Nora Arapi Krasniqi, the Executive Director of GUIDEKS Muamer Hasani and the Administrator of GUIDEKS Trainings Enes Toska.
The training was provided by GUIDEKS trainers certified by the European Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (FEG) and various professionals in the relevant fields. This is the second generation of guides certified in Kosovo with this curriculum, while it is the first generation to have attended the training in a protected monument and now functional thanks to the strategy of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
