GUIDEKS 2026 AGM in its new home
In the historic premises of the Hydroelectric Power Plant Museum, the Kosovo Tourist Guides Association GUIDEKS, on 28 February 2026 has organized the proceedings of the 8th Annual General Meeting of its Assembly of Members.
During this annual meeting, the members reviewed and approved the work and financial reports for 2025. The main item on the agenda was the election of the new management, including: The Chairman of the Assemblym, The Executive Board members and The Executive Director.
The new leadership has received the mandate to lead the association in the next four years, with the aim of further strengthening the role of guides in the tourism industry.
Lavdi Zymberi was elected Chairwoman of the Assembly of Members, while the members of the new ExBo are: Rudina Efendiu Lila, Milot Krasniqi, Irvin Jaha, Valdrin Halitjaha and Anitë Krasniqi while Muhamer Hasani was elected as the Executive Director for his second term.
A new center for guides: In addition to the official proceedings, the participants visited the Hydroelectric Power Plant Museum, a permanently protected building, which also aims to serve as a reference center for tourist guides. This activity symbolized the close connection between industrial heritage and tourist promotion. GUIDEKS marked a significant success by reaching a record number of 167 members since its establishment. With this growth, GUIDEKS reconfirms its position as the “big house” and the only official address for cultural guide professionals in the country.
