The first training on the identification of Natural Monuments was held on 25 June 2021 in partnership with the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning, and Infrastructure, Club Alpine Pristina, and Kosovo Environmental Protection Agency.
More than 30 hikers, climbers, cyclists, runners and nature explorers, were introduced on how to identify and mark the numerous natural monuments Kosovo has to offer. Shqipe Mula, Etnike Dibrani and Egzona Luboteni from GUIDEKS have participated in this event.
COVID-19 has severely impacted the Kosovo tourism sector but also given us the opportunity to accelerate recovery through greener, more sustainable ecotourism practices. Mapping out and creating access to natural monuments in the region is an important stepping stone in that journey.
